The Early Days
On my birthday I underwent spinal surgery to close my herniated spinal cord. By the end of my first week a shunt was permanently implanted in my brain to drain my cerebral-spinal fluid. Later I had my paralyzed feet reconstructed so that they would rest in a neutral position.
